How to Publish a Book, Non-fiction Publish Book, Publish Self-Help Book, Book Publishing

How to Publish a Book has a new interview. This week I interviewed author Luleen Anderson on The Artist's Craft (directed by Michael Graziano and Marnie Cooper-Priest) for the Raleigh Television Network. Dr. Anderson is the author of The Knack of a Happy Life, and her life story is very inspiring.

A trained clinical psychologist who earned her PhD from Boston University, Luleen's story is absolutely fascinating. I hope you'll enjoy this new episode for The Artist's Craft brought to you here at How to Publish a Book.

Book Publishing, How to Publish a Book, How to Get a Literary Agent

Well, I'm back from Charlotte, North Carolina, and I have video footage of the "How to Publish a Book, How to Get a Literary Agent" event I did with J.D. Rhoades and Alexandra Sokoloff. A special thanks to Janice McCarter and Stacy MacGregor of Borders and all the staff at the 3900 Colony Road store for making this one a success. Thanks to Dusty and Alex, and also to Thressa Smith for giving us a place to stay at the Writers Retreat at Tega Cay.

In this video, we talk about the best way to publish a book, how to find literary agents, and we answer audience questions on the topic of how to publish a book and how to get a literary agent.

J.D.'s books are Safe and Sound, A Good Day in Hell, and The Devil's Right Hand, and Alexandra's book is The Harrowing.

How to Publish a Book: Non-fiction Book, Hiking Book, Writing a Proposal, Book Publishing

We have a new interview for How to Publish a Book taken from today's shooting of "The Artist's Craft" for Raleigh Television Network. Our guest was author Danny Bernstein who published her non-fiction book Hiking the Carolina Mountains via Milestone Press earlier this year.

We discussed her book, how she sold her book to her publisher, and her plans for future books as well.

If you're interested in publishing a non-fiction book, Danny's discussion of her proposal and how she sold her book to Milestone Press will be of particular interest.

How to Publish a Book, How to Get a Literary Agent, Book Publishing, Publish a Book

If you've come here by searching the internet for how to publish a book, I have got a great video for you. On Thursday November 8, 2007, I moderated a panel discussion titled "How to Publish a Book, How to Get a Literary Agent" at a Borders Bookstore. I was lucky enough to have two good friends join me on the panel, J.D. Rhoades and Alexandra Sokoloff.

J.D.'s books have all been published through St. Martin's Press as have Alexandra's. They are both represented by the literary agency Trident Media Group (one of the best agencies in the country), and so we discussed their books, their agents, and how to publish a book.

I am very excited to bring you this video in six parts on YouTube. My hope is that this kind of panel discussion at bookstores will be part of an ongoing series with authors discussing How to Publish a Book and How to Get a Literary Agent.

How to Publish a Book: Book Reviews, Southern Literature, Top Ten Lists, Book Publishing

This week's interview for How to Publish a Book comes from "The Artist's Craft" directed by Michael Graziano and Marnie Cooper-Priest for the Raleigh Television Network. I had J. Peder Zane in studio.

Peder was the Book Review Editor for the News & Observer from 1996 to 2007, and is currently the Ideas Columnist for the newspaper. Our discussion covers his books for W.W. Norton The Top Ten and Remarkable Reads, as well as the role of book reviews, how to publish a book, and what exactly Southern Literature is.

I've uploaded this interview to Google Video in full, as well as to YouTube in three parts.

Enjoy.
